Shannon Donnick

Shannon Donnick (she/her), founder and CEO of Pillar, has been working in suicide postvention since 2011, combining her personal experiences with that of crisis response training and group facilitation. She is passionate about elevating the voices of suicide loss and suicide attempt survivors as well as amplifying available community supports and resources for those grieving, struggling and recovering.

Additionally, Shannon is a member of the Suicide Prevention Resource Center's (SPRC) Lived Experience Advisory Committee, a diverse group of suicide prevention leaders and advocates who have been personally impacted by suicide.

Nikki Alonso-Scott

Nikki Alonso-Scott (she/her), Pillar Board President, has been working in suicide loss & prevention since 2016. After surviving her loss, she was able to find healing in service to others. Working in peer-based and support group settings with loss survivors she discovered her passion and desire to change the way we talk about suicide and those who are impacted. 

Nikki is now a temporarily licensed professional counselor/mental health service provider in Tennessee. Her focus is complex trauma, grief/loss, suicide loss survivors, attachment trauma, relational trauma, BIPOC/AANHPI, and LGBTQIA+ issues. She continues to find healing in service to others with Pillar.
